TAM Hosts Second Annual Aviation Industry Career Expo (AICE)

January 12th, 2004 Posted in Press

AICE, Compton Woodley Airport, January 12, 2004 – If you have ever dreamed about flying, find yourself looking up in the sky every time you hear an airplane or helicopter, or come up with any excuse to visit a nearby airport, you have a very serious case of the “flying bug.” The good news is, that even though the “flying bug” has reached epidemic proportions, there is a cure available at Compton Woodley Airport based Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum, says flying ace Captain Robin Petgrave.

According to Robin, all you have to do is apply for his new college accredited aviation career program which includes student loan packages of up to $80,000 for flight training and college accredited ground school, and you’ll have that “flying bug” under control. Robin warns though, that no matter how well you do with the course, or what kind of pilot employment you get upon completion of training, the “flying bug” is permanent and will remain with you forever.

To learn more about treating the “flying bug” and related “aviation bugs”, Captain Petgrave is spearheading the second annual Aviation Industry Career Expo (AICE)on Saturday, January 24th. There you’ll be able to go up in an airplane and/or helicopter, attend aviation career seminars, and apply for the college accredited flight training program. In addition to a variety of aviation exhibits, there will be lost of entertainment including a dance contest and surprise performances from Hidden Beach Records artists.

The highlight of AICE in addition to being overwhelmed by airplanes, helicopters, and pilots, is meeting some of the original Tuskegee Airmen, watching the Aviation Explorers landing competition, and shaking hands with Compton’s Mayor. And, if you happen to be afraid of flying, but are great with computers, electronics, mechanical devices, bossing people around, or teaching, there will be plenty of people to talk to about aviation support careers.
